Provence & Camargue

Van Gogh immortalised forever the colours of this region, the relaxed lifestyle of its people and the beauty of its countryside... We have nothing to do but start our journey in Provence, discovering towns and wonderful, small villages, passing through cultivated lands to reach the wild coasts.
In July and August, the sight of lavender fields painted with violet catches your eye if you walk along the country lanes called "The Lavender Roads" that link the inland villages. The subtle scent of this flower is totally stirring.
In winter colours do not die.  In Camargue, yellow fields light up the windswept sky from the mistral and the trees lining the canals brighten the horizon with their green colour.
Folk festivals such as ferias in Arles and in Les Saintes Maries de La Mer are events immersed in a special atmosphere halfway between the French and Spanish cultures. They are an explosion of colour and music along with gypsy and guardian traditions.
A journey through the strong flavours and great folk traditions and you can still feel the rythms and colours which inspired Vincent...
